Arrowood Saralee's Vineyard Syrah 2000
Wine Spectator Plush and fragrant, with supple blueberry, black cherry and white pepper flavors. Fresh herbs, loads of toasty oak and round tannins wrap around the finish. Drink now through 2007. Score: 89. —James Laube, July 31, 2003. Wine Advocate The 2000 Syrah Saralee's Vineyard (4% Viognier has been co-fermented with the Syrah) possesses a dense ruby/purple color in addition to an exotic perfume of apricots and blackberries. It is rich in fruit, with medium to full body, and lovely sweetness as well as flavor purity. It should drink well for 10-12 years. Score: 89. —Robert Parker, August 2002. |
