Cigale

Colour: Vibrant, deep garnet with blue hues. Bouquet: Intense and perfumed nose displays aromas of blackberries and liquored cherries with a fine overlay of white pepper. Palate: Bright and focused with intense dark berry fruits, blueberry, plums, black cherries and subtle hints of beeswax and orange chocolate. A structured wine with abundant fruit with tannins that are ripe and finely textured.

Wine Spectator

Rich in texture, but there's a crispness to balance the ink-dark plum and blackberry flavors, lingering beautifully on the refined finish. Drink now through 2015. 330 cases made.

The 2005 Shiraz spent 14 months in seasoned French oak hogsheads. It is purple-colored with aromas of cedar, tobacco, wood smoke, pepper, plum and blueberry. Full-bodied, structured, and tightly wound, this intense Shiraz will benefit from 3-4 years of cellaring and drink well through 2015.
