The Schild Estate 2005 Barossa Shiraz is another fine example of a classic regional style from this renowned area and the Barossa regionality shows through at it's best in this wine. A Shiraz with great presence and lingering flavours, truly a most enjoyable premium Barossa wine. Colour: Royal purple hues over deep red. Nose: Bouquet of ripe red berries, licorice and spice. Palate: Rich plummy fruit which are deep and rewarding, with tannins that are soft yet abundant, and showing a hint of vanillin oak. Drink now through 2016.
Wine Spectator Smooth and round, this is impressive for its seamless balance, offering cherry and grilled pepper flavors against refined tannins. The open texture reveals sweet spices and mocha flavors as the finish lingers. Has complexity, depth and excellent detail. Best from 2008 through 2015. Score: 93.Customers who purchased this item also bought:
